Being an original '68 RS/SS 396 car, later replaced with a 427 before his purchase of it, Sean wanted to do this one right.
This beautiful specimen of American Muscle is powered by a cammed LS6, which is backed by a built T56 transmission and 9" rearend.
With a full tubular chassis and full coilovers the '68 handles literally "on rails." Braking isn't a problem either with a custom Wilwood disc brake setup all the way around.
The '68 was completely covered POR15 on the inside to prevent any sort of rust and then covered with dynomat to help with sound proofing the interior. New carpet was laid down and fitted, placed on top are two 2006 GTO fully powered seats and the back seats were covered with new seat skins. All new standard Camaro door panels were put in place. The steering column and dash was painted a gunmetal gray to offset the black interior and the custom gauge cluster was also painted to offset the bright silver Autometer gauges. We replaced the original radio in the car with a pioneer single den head unit and 2 rear speakers. Originally a factory no a/c car, modifications were made to fit in a Vintage Air system to equip the car with air conditioning. The chrome front and rear bumpers were powdercoated black to make this car a true "black beauty" with a few trims pieces left in chrome for accents. There was not part of this car that was left untouched.
